When to Use Bulk Operations

Bulk operations let you apply changes to many assets at once, saving significant time on large projects. Instead of editing assets one by one, you can select a group and update their properties, move them to a different phase, or delete them all in a single action.

This is particularly valuable on projects with hundreds or thousands of assets. Common use cases include reassigning phases, updating custom field values across a type, or removing all assets from a decommissioned floor.

How to Perform a Bulk Operation

  1. 1

Open a floorplan and navigate to the Assets tab in the right panel.

  2. 2

Use the Select All checkbox or click individual assets to build your selection.

  3. 3

A bulk action bar appears at the top of the panel showing the number of selected assets.

  4. 4

Choose your action: Edit, Move, Delete, or Export.

  5. 5

Configure the changes you want to apply and confirm the operation.

⚠️

Bulk delete is irreversible. Always double-check your selection before confirming a bulk delete operation. Consider exporting your data first as a backup.

Bulk Editing Fields

When you bulk-edit assets, you can update any field that is common to the selected assets. For example, if all selected assets share the same type, you can update their name, phase, or custom field values in one go.

The bulk edit dialog shows which fields will be changed and provides a preview of the affected assets. Only the fields you explicitly modify will be updated — all other fields remain unchanged.

💡

Use type-based filtering in combination with bulk select to quickly target all assets of a specific type. This is the fastest way to apply a change across an entire asset category.
