Changing Your Password

Keeping your password secure is essential, especially if you manage projects with sensitive building information. Plotstuff makes it easy to change your password at any time from your account settings.

We recommend changing your password periodically, especially if you suspect it may have been compromised or if you have shared it with anyone temporarily.

How to Change Your Password

  1. 1

Navigate to Account Settings from the user menu.

  2. 2

    Find the Security section.

  3. 3

Enter your Current Password to verify your identity.

  4. 4

Enter your New Password — it must be at least 8 characters long.

  5. 5

Confirm the new password by entering it again.

  6. 6

Click Update Password to save the change.

Forgot Your Password?

If you have forgotten your password and cannot sign in, use the Forgot Password link on the login page. Enter the email address associated with your account, and we will send you a password reset link.

The reset link is valid for 24 hours. If it expires before you use it, you can request a new one. After clicking the link, you will be prompted to create a new password. Once set, you can sign in immediately with the new password.

💡

Use a password manager to generate and store strong, unique passwords. A good password is at least 12 characters long and includes a mix of letters, numbers, and symbols.

⚠️

Never share your password via email or messaging. If someone needs access to your projects, invite them as a team member with the appropriate role instead.
